Morzine-Avoriaz-Les Gets’s Penguins

Morzine-Avoriaz is an authentic village in the Savoie region. It became a ski resort under the drive of pioneer mountaineers who were passionate about their home region. The same passion still animates its people who are always ready to defend their colours, their pride and their traditions. The Penguins have defended this heritage with passion, determination, dedication and energy through a key winter sport: ice hockey! They convey the values, discipline and a unique atmosphere of this mountain area in the quickest collective sport of all tomes! The show is guaranteed!

The Magnus League

The club has played in the Magnus League (French elite circuit) for nine seasons! Grenoble, Rouen, Angers, Briançon as well as Chamonix or Villard-de-Lans, are some examples of the opponents who have come to the Skoda Arena. As League 1 champions in 2004, and having come second in the Magnus League in 2006 after a riveting season, the club is now playing for a new title. With international players (from Canada, the USA, Finland) and support from the whole village, the Skoda Arena is the place to be for sports fans!

Exhibition Game

An exhibition game takes place every Wednesday in winter at 8:45pm opposing selections and other clubs. A perfect opportunity to discover this sport!

Minor Hockey

Since 1963, the club has given high importance to training new players. Many young local players have been trained by the club and today the Morzine Ice Hockey Club has many members of all ages. Three players from the Morzine Minor Hockey club are now playing in the Magnus League this season. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information about the club.
